Ingredients

  • **Batter:**
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup flour (125 grams)
  • 1 cup sugar (200 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (10 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup room temperature milk
  • 1 room temperature egg
  • **Filling:**
  • 1 (28 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1/2 cup sugar (100 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  3. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and egg.
  4. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the pan.
  5. Combine peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread over batter without stirring.
  6. Bake for 35-45 minutes until the batter comes to the top and is golden brown.
