Ingredients
- **Batter:**
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup flour (125 grams)
- 1 cup sugar (200 grams)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder (10 grams)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup room temperature milk
- 1 room temperature egg
- **Filling:**
- 1 (28 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
- 1/2 cup sugar (100 grams)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and egg.
- Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the pan.
- Combine peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread over batter without stirring.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until the batter comes to the top and is golden brown.
