Ingredients

  • **Flour:** 2 1/2 cups (approx. 312.5 grams)
  • **Sugar:** 1 cup (approx. 200 grams)
  • **Cocoa:** 1/3 cup (approx. 33 grams)
  • **Baking Soda:** 1 tsp (approx. 5 grams)
  • **Salt:** 1/2 tsp (approx. 3 grams)
  • **Oil:** 3/4 cup (180 ml)
  • **Vinegar:** 2 tbsp (30 ml)
  • **Vanilla:** 1 tsp (5 ml)
  • **Water:** 1 cup (240 ml)

Method

  1. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
  2. Add oil, vinegar, vanilla, and water to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix well until the batter is smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking pan (NOT GLASS).
  5. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
